Palm leaves are in Asia and India for centuries as a natural resource for production of cups, plates, cutlery and other useful items of household uses.

The palm leaves originate from fair cultivation of the Areca-Palme to support local farmers in India and each is unique in structure and appearance. No forests are cleared!

Production without any additives – like glue, cleaners, plasticizer or other chemicals. Since Leef® plates have no artificial additives whatsoever, they decompose within 3 months, just as normal leaves.

Of sterilization is in the production itself, the sheets are water-washed, then soaked and then mechanically in 110° C moulded, punched and cool down instantly clean and packaged in premium mulberry silk paper and recycled cotton fibres.

Although intended for single use, many people find they can simply wipe the bowls clean or hand wash them and use them multiple times. This gives disposable tableware made of palm leaves yet another sustainable advantage to tableware made of plastic.
