Organic Cotton Neck Pillow with Organic Millet Hulls | speltex®

The neck pillow by speltex® is filled with pure organic millet hulls, which are impregnated with natural rubber for more stability (optional). The surfaces remain open and are receptive for the ideal temperature and moisture balance. Millet is very smooth and very quiet due to the fine-grained structure. Like soft sand they spread the pressure of lying very evenly. You have the possibility to tune the filling capacity to your needs and your anatomical conditions. The pillowcase made from organic cotton is washable as well as the filling.

The fillings are dust-free and therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.

The neck support pillow with the format 25 x 40 cm is often used in a deck chair, on the sofa or in the car. Exactly anywhere, where a cuddly and a supportive pillow should provide relaxation.

Millet hulls are adjustable and cuddly like soft sand and are low-noise being moved. In order to make this material keep its wonderful qualities during use we bathe the millet husks in liquid vegetal latex, which is being absorbed by the husks. Once being dry the latex gives the husks a stabilizing structure due to the typical flexible resistance of latex.

The millet hulls are now protected from rubbing off and become more endurable without loosing their permeability. The coating of latex gives the filling more cohesion and improves its sustaining qualities. The very smooth and round millet husks adopt the individual contours of your head, neck and shoulders. The millet pillow gives comfortable support. You can relax wonderfully while feeling perfectly sustained.

The fact that millet hulls with natural latex are free of dust reduces the allergic risk for many sensible users. Only a high sensibility against latex products gives reasons for not using the pillows.

Rule of thumb: If the cushion must be pushed together for a comfortable sleeping position, a higher degree of filling is advisable. Does it feel too tight on the other hand, some filling should be removed.

speltex® organic millet hulls with and without natural rubber are also available separately for refilling.

* Sanforizing is a special treatment of the fabric with steam and pressure. Because of this the fabrics are very soft and shrink. For later laundry they therefore only shrink up only minimal (about 1-2 %).

Washing
The cover is made from a cuddly twill of organic cotton and is washable up to 60° C. The fabric was pretreated with steam and shrinks at 95° C only slightly.
