Long-lasting bathroom and kitchen textiles from Clarysse
Clarysse stands for development and sustainable production of timeless, trendy and durable bathroom and kitchen textiles. These include home textiles for the bedroom and bathroom, such as terry towels, wash gloves, plaids and blankets, decorative pillows and bathroom rugs. The versatile and sustainable home textile range complies with the strictest European guidelines.
Sustainability at Clarysse
The calculation of a person's ecological footprint includes, among other things, the areas required for the production of clothing, furniture and other everyday objects. So if we are interested in our personal carbon footprint, we have to include every towel and tea towel, every washcloth, but also the fluffy blanket under which we snuggle up during the home cinema evening.
That is why Jules Clarysse uses sustainability as a guide and innovation to counteract climate change and thus to support society in a positive way.
Cradle to Cradle Towel Collection
Since it was founded in 1953, Clarysse has worked to create the perfect towel. With the C2C Uni towel collection, Clarysse is the first manufacturer in Europe producing a 100% biodegradable towel. The Cradle to Cradle® Infinity Towels can be returned to the natural cycle after a long life cycle. This is how it works: Cut it into small pieces and add it to the compost. The nutrients get back into the soil. No bathroom textiles need to be disposed of as waste.
The C2C Uni towel collection is in no way inferior to conventional shower towels and hand towels. It is absorbent and has a soft, fluffy surface feel. Exactly the properties that you want after a quick shower in the morning or a relaxing bath. The materials used as well as the environmentally friendly dyes and the sustainable production lead to certification with numerous quality seals: Reach, Oekotex (6.0), Detox, BSCI, BEPI, GOTS, OCS, BCI, GRS, FSC and for the C2C program, the Cradle to Cradle® certificate.
Home textiles made from fair trade cotton and certified organic cotton
According to the motto: "Fair trade and fabulous towels", Clarysse obtains Fair Trade cotton from independent cotton farmers in West Africa. In return for the high quality cotton, the Belgian company offers them fair and steady prices. This ensures the farmers an above-average income on site. In turn this enables them to have better health care, easier access to drinking water and an improved education system.
The elegant bathroom textiles series "Florence" are particularly environmentally friendly and socially responsible. The towels are made from GOTS certified organic cotton. Available in 20 colours and five different sizes, the bathroom textiles give every bathroom an individual character.
Low Impact Towel
Towel 2 is unique, ecological and qualitatively just like a conventional towel, a terry towel made from recycled jeans and T-shirts. The principle is very simple: All materials that are not pure denim are removed from used jeans. The jeans fabrics are recycled and new yarn is spun from the fibres. Mixed with viscose, the worn out clothes are recycled into new towels. The towels don't even need to be deyed. They adopt the colour of the jeans.
Kitchen textiles made in Europe
In addition to plain coloured terry towels, Clarysse produces kitchen textiles for the European market in its ultramodern factories in Pittem and Ronse (Belgium). The linen collection is based on classic designs. The focus is on the colours red, blue and grey, interpreted in various patterns from simple stripes to extravagant print patterns. The tea towels made of tightly woven cotton and half linen are absorbent and durable.
The ecological bathroom textiles and kitchen linen from Clarysse flatter the skin and nature. Discover sustainable home textiles at Greenpicks, the online marketplace for sustainable lifestyles.
