Natural and healthy textiles for babies, children and women from ImseVimse
When one of the daughters of the company founder Marie Walleberg suffered from a contact eczema, she switched from disposable diapers to cloth diapers. The problem was solved. Thereby motivated Marie Walleberg founded in 1988 ImseVimse. Since she focuses on natural and healthy textiles for babies, children and women. Home is the Swedish city of Visby, an UNESCO World Heritage.
With the aim to be the most environmentally friendly company in the sector ImseVimse has been designing the products from the beginning on the basis of the benefits to the environment and health. Always the range of products and designs are developed, adapted, refined and tested to the needs of today's families. All true to the motto: "We want to create a better future for children in the world."
Care products for babies and women made from organic cotton
The colourful world of ImseVimse baby care products consists of baby blankets, bibs, washable diapers and nappies and hooded towels. Particularly clever is the swimwear for babies. Would a conventional diaper be soaked at the first swimming exercises and rather hamper the baby, the practical swim diaper or nappy is a combination of bathing costume fabric and a waterproof layer of soft fabric. It catches everything that usually ends up in a diaper. And the baby can move freely in the water. The product range of ImseVimse includes hygiene items for women care such as nursing inserts and pads, cleansing pads and sanitary pads made of organic cotton.
Sustainability at ImseVimse
Out of respect for the environment all ImseVimse products are exclusively made of cotton from controlled biological cultivation. The result are pure natural baby care products and hygiene products for women. Production mainly takes place in Europe, especially in Latvia, also in Turkey and other countries. ImseVimse places high demands on environmentally friendly production, quality and working conditions and performs annual inspections on the conditions in the factories. Almost all textiles from ImseVimse meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, class 1 for babies from 0-3 years.
In all its trading activities and production processes ImseVimse is constantly striving to make the environmental impact as environmentally friendly as possible. For packaging 100 % FSC-certified paper and reusable boxes are used. Gotland's wind energy supplies office and warehouse with electricity. Paper, plastic, metal and glass are recycled. Wherever possible, the correspondence is sent by email, so that the paper consumption is significantly reduced. If this can not be avoided, publications are printed on FSC-certified paper.
