Re-Sack are reusable fruit and vegetable bags made from organic cotton. When Sjoerd van der Helm from the Netherlands went to the U.S. to write his degree dissertation, he was inspired to create reusable products by the plastic bags ban of the metropolis Los Angeles. He realized his call in the futility of disposable articles and he established a company for sustainable products in January 2011. First, the Dutch sold bags of polyester. However Sjoierd was dissatisfied that the shopping bags were not made of natural material.
Sjoerd van der Helm went to look targeted for manufacturers that produce sustainable products in all respects. Re-Sack was born as the perfect partner was found. For the production fair wages are paid.
Re-Sack: Keep fruits and vegetables gently
Sjoerd van der Helm wants to create a new habit, to take along for shopping reusable fruit and vegetable nets instead of using plastic bags and other disposable containers. Re-Sack is available in different versions and sizes: for large and small households, finely woven and coarsemeshed. The breathable vegetable bags and the fruit nets can be placed directly in the refrigerator after shopping with its contents. Fruit and vegetables keep longer fresh in the bag made from organic cotton. The drawstring bag is easy to open and close. And if you wash Re-Sack at 30° C with an organic detergent, it is ready for the next purchase and free of chemical substances that can be left by using conventional washing agents.
Re-Sack is a successful contribution to environmental protection and an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bags!
