Strick-Dir-was! (translation DIY-knitting) has initiated the "Project Alpaca Germany". Andrea Boettcher-Rabens obtains the raw wool after shearing the alpacas living in Germany from selected growers in the region. The processing to a completely natural yarn takes place in a small local spinning company, completely free of chemicals.
In addition to waiver of chemicals alpaca contains no lanolin. Thus, pullovers, scarves, loops and hats from alpaca yarn are suitable especially for allergy sufferers or people with sensitive skin. Besides, the annoying pilling does not occur.
In addition to the direct contact with the supplier and the very short and thus resource-saving transport routes particularly the originality of the wool stands in the foreground for strick-Dir-was!
With the DIY-Knitting! Set Andrea Boettcher-Rabens wants to enable all people to knit easily and quickly a hat, a scarf and a loop, who enjoy „do it yourself“ (DIY). And this with natural alpaca wool 100% Made in Germany. And in order that you can get started directly the DIY-Knitting! Bag includes natural alpaca wool, a pair of bamboo knitting needles, a knitting pattern and a woven label to sew.
And who developes more and more joy in doing it yourself, can initiate their guerrilla knitting project. Thanks to urban knitting some cities have changed their streets scenes and embellished their benches, signs and trees. You might also want to "ensnare" some objects in your home town.
Alpaca yarn in your favorite colour you will find on Greenpicks.
