Encouragement of regional production.
With the criterion of "Regional production" we want to take into account the efforts that the manufacturing of products in your own country or in your own region is pushed.
Example: Made in Germany
The importance of the quality seal "Made in Germany" has changed in the course of globalization. More and more parts of a product come from other countries. From a legal point of view a product may carry the label "Made in Germany” if those services were performed in Germany, which are crucial to those characteristic of the goods that are to the fore for the estimation of the traffic. Indications are significant production of the goods in Germany, crucial proportion of value added by assembling in Germany, significant refinement of the product in Germany.
We are interested in products that originate effectively on the whole your own country. This provides the following benefits:
- Promoting small businesses in the region, thus creating and maintaining job
- Support for crafts
- Production of high quality products
- Avoidance of long transport routes and thus protection of the climate

Our own business: At Greenpicks sustainability is in every single detail – with conviction. We use green electricity, have a green bank account, let our flyers be printed green and much more:
- Our website is hosted “green” with 100% waterpower (green electricity).
- We receive our electricity from “NaturStrom”. We keep our power consumption as low as possible, for example through the use of switchable power strips and energy-saving illuminants.
- For our flyers, business cards etc. we use recycled paper and petroleum-free natural colors. They are printed at a green printer.
- We use as little paper as possible. And if so, then we only use recycled paper.
- Our business account we keep with the EthikBank.
- To move forward we use public transport, bicycle, train and as little as possible the car.
- We are committed to the economical use of consumable goods and put emphasis on mindful consumption.
- We focus on long-lasting quality products.
- Also in private we take great pleasure in ecologically produced products, e.g. foodstuff, natural cosmetics, natural textiles, household and drugstore products.
- And we always keep our eyes open for more possibilties to live and work sustainably.
