This eco-friendly cushion is made of natural vegan material. Coconut fibre bathed in latex is used as a filling for these round chair cushions by Metz, matched with simple pure colour Violan® fabric – a vegan felt based on renewable resources. What is Violan®?Violan® looks and feels like a high quality wool felt, and actually it does have all the properties of it. The special thing is that Violan® is based on renewable resources - that’s fibres from fast growing plants and wood. It’s suitable for vegans, for people with an intolerance against animal hair, for ecologically minded people – and of course also for everyone else. Another good thing is that Violan® is machine washable, at 30° C and with a mild detergent. But please don’t let the products spin. And at the end of its useful life, the material is biodegradable and absolutely non-toxic.
As a seat cushion, the plant-based felt is sewn in two layers with a decorative stitch so that the cushion can be used on both sides. Equipped with a cushioning inner lining, the cushion has a good grip, but can therefore only be hand-washed at 30° C.
Care Instructions
Please treat Violan products like textiles made from wool or similarly fine materials. Violan is machine-washable at 30° C. Please wash with similar colours, use the wool cycle and a mild detergent. Don’t let the products spin but spread them out for drying. Don’t bleach, and don’t remove stains with aggressive chemicals but mild detergents Please iron Violan at low heat, setting the iron to “wool”. – If you follow these simple instructions you will enjoy our Violan products for a very long time.
