With the large size of the laundry net the filling can be very nicely spread out to dry in the sun. The special laundry net consists of a rugged, close-knit polyester mesh and a sturdy zipper. Even the fine millet shells are not pushed through the meshes of this net during washing, spinning and drying.

The husks of spelt and millet are by nature very resistant to moisture. It was their natural function to protect the grains in the interior from the influence of the weather.speltex® cereal shells with rubber can be washed up to 60 ° C. With the stability that they have gained because of their rubber content, they resist the load during washing, spinning and drying without any problems.

Also speltex® husks of spelt without rubber from the Premium sorting can be washed once or twice in spite of their lower life. They also contain no husks with grain shares anymore. This is a prerequisite for the washability of cereal shell fillings, which is ensured at speltex® in a separate operational step.

Fill a maximum of 3 kg spelt husks or millet shells in a laundry net. After the wash and spin cycle they weigh about twice as much. This shows to which great extent cereal shells can absorb moisture, which contributes to their particularly good sleeping climate.A recommended washing temperature is 60°C. Boil-washing is possible, but then a certain brittleness of the cereal shells might occur.The drying of the filling can be made in the tumble dryer. A gentle setting promotes a longer life of the filling. When drying in the sun, you should turn around the filling and shake several times. Please ensure complete drying.
