Two are better than one! Various test series and the evaluation of long-term tests has resulted. An impregnation already ensures high resistance to breakage, freedom from dust and high abrasion resistance. Additional impregnation gives the entire structure of the overlapping husks full protection and even more stability. The fillings develop even more effective support. A practical advantage: due to the increased resistance of volume, the requirement to refill decreases significantly in use. Spelt husks without rubber, with one and two impregnations all absorb the same amount of moisture. This confirms that the surfaces and structure of the husks remain open and permeable.Fillings with natural rubber dry fast. Because there are no fractions and fines between the husks, the drying airflow can circulate more easily.

Spelt husks take in a particularly pleasant way the pressure of lying very evenly. Through internal cavities, body heat is absorbed and stored. At the same time the somewhat coarser fillings allow a very high degree of air exchange. This helps to prevent overheating and sweating, because excessive heat can easily flow out. Around 60,000 loosely distributed husks per kg load capacity develop best supportive effects and help in letting go and relaxing. They hold with resistance the form adapted to the contours of your body shape and thus contribute to a peaceful sleep and deep relaxation. The spelt husks are soaked in a bath of natural rubber latex. The sap of the rubber tree penetrates the husks and shells, such as an oil for solid wood furniture. This creates no sealing of surfaces. They remain porous and breathable. The moist grain shells are then dried and heated to about 80°C. Although the dry rubber amount of the finished fillings barely makes up 4%, it increases their resilience and durability tremendous. They are dust-free and very durable in use against fine abrasive. The natural rubber latex used was obtained on ecologically managed plantations in South India and bought according to the criteria of Fair Trade.
