Rooibos tea is a traditional beverage made from the leaves of a South African shrub (Aspalatus linearis). It is consumed in a similar way to black tea and contains many antioxidants. Compared to regular black tea or green tea, rooibos is lower in tannins. Weltecke Organic Rooibos Tea consists of the crushed twigs and leaves and is purely natural, i.e. without added flavourings.

Organic rooibos tea has a variety of health benefits. It is naturally caffeine-free and does not act as a stimulant, great for those avoiding common effects of caffeine. Seen to have benefits to lower blood pressure. The flavonoids quercetin and quercitrin have an antidepressant and anticonvulsant effect. Just to name a few examples.
