A natural heat source: Cold feet and fingers are a thing of the past with the foot and wrist warmer. Stay warmer and more comfortable at home on the coldest days of the year and relax after a stressful day.
Natural heat reservoir: Both, the foot warmer and fingerless gloves are made from fluffy pure new wool loden, which has excellent heat retention properties. They are soft and comfortable to wear indoors.
Designed with the environment and health in mind: Made from 100% virgin wool. Unlike electrically powered foot warmers, these wrist and foot warmers heat up almost spontaneously thanks to the temperature-balancing properties of wool. Pure wool keeps you warm when wet, neutralises odours and doesn't need frequent washing. Moisture control to keep hands and feet dry. Wool with no added synthetics is also a fire-resistant material that returns to nature at the end of its life cycle.
The foot warmers are generously cut so that they are easy to put on and take off, and there is plenty of room for thick woollen socks as well.
Made in our own manufacture from high quality virgin wool, the loden foot- and wrist warmer not only provides cosy warmth, but is also sustainably sourced: 100% new wool from Europe! The wool for our fluffy loden is sourced from sheep flocks in Europe. We have made a conscious decision to use wool from Europe in order to guarantee contact with our suppliers and, most importantly, European animal welfare standards. This also means we can rule out the controversial practice of mulesing, which is only used on Merino sheep. The loden is woven, dyed and finished from 100% new wool in southern Germany. The wool is spun in our own weaving mill in Brandenburg. To increase the surface area and achieve fluffiness, the finished loden is bulged and individual wool hairs are pulled to the surface. As this is a natural product, fluffiness may vary from product to product.
Features
The foot warmers are soft and comfortable because we do not sew in a sole. Therefore, these foot warmers or 'bed shoes' are not suitable for use as house shoes. They are designed to wrap around your feet when you are lying down. They don't have a non-slip bottom.
Made in Germany by nahrtur-design, the wrist and foot warmers are designed to keep warm air close to the skin. Keep your wrists and hands warm - and your fingers free to do other things! Our wide range of sizes ensures the perfect fit for every foot.
How to wash wool?
"less is more...…" to help wool clothing last longer, only wash them when necessary.
The naturally contained wool grease (lanolin) ensures the self-regulating and antibacterial properties of wool fibres. Air out wool garment. Wash your wool clothing one final time at the end of the season or if it is very dirty. Hand wash with cool or cold water or wash on the wool, gentle, or delicate cycle with an enzyme-free liquid detergent like Sonett and a low spin speed (max. 400). If possible, use the washing machine setting for wool garments
How to dry your wool clothes and woollen textiles?
To avoid shrinking, don’t put wool clothing in the dryer. Instead, lay wool items flat to dry on a fresh towel or mesh rack in a spot that doesn’t receive direct sunlight. Carefully adjust the shape of the garment to ensure it is evenly stretched as it dries.
Ironing
Fleece loden and fine loden only with a damp cloth and iron from the left.
Detergent
We recommend using a special wool detergent that moisturises and cares for the wool. E.g. the olive detergent from Sonett.

In our manufactory, we produce handcrafted high-quality products. We focus on the materials organic linen and loden made from pure merino wool obtained from species-appropriate husbandry.
Our fabrics are woven in Germany and Austria, our design, cutting and production is in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany.
The fabrics are predominantly organically grown or mulesing-free, very skin-friendly and breathable. Timeless fashion and high-quality materials are an expression of individuality and make our garments durable and sustainable.
Linen has always provided a very pleasant climate, it has the ability to cool in summer and warm in winter, the lively fabric surface provides a pleasant massage of the skin. Home textiles are particularly absorbent and dry very quickly.
The loden is water-repellent, breathable and warming. The napped surface makes water drip off and keeps the wind out. Excess heat is well conducted to the outside.
Our materials are low-noise and particularly well tolerated.

Sustainability
This product meets the following sustainability criteria
We calculate our prices fairly and transparently in all directions. Our suppliers are paid just as fairly as our local employees. We do not calculate later reductions or transport costs. Due to the order-specific production, there are no storage costs and no disposal costs for overproduction. Costs for shipping and any returns are borne by the customer and are not added to the product price.
We produce our products in our manufactory and manufacture everything under one roof, from design to cutting to production. In this way we avoid transport routes. Our products are only produced after receipt of order or in very small quantities. In this way we avoid overproduction and conserve valuable raw materials. Zero Waste: We produce without leaving any residue. Fabric remnants that occur when the products are cut are collected and processed into our "zero-waste collection" in cooperation with a social institution (Brücke S-H) in Kiel. The smallest remnants are processed in a paper mill from the 18th century sheet by sheet to 100% linen handmade paper.
From idea to design, cutting, production and shipping, we do it all under one roof. This means there are no transport routes and we save valuable resources. The wool for our fluffy loden comes from sheep flocks in Europe. We have made a conscious decision to use wool from Europe in order to guarantee contact with our suppliers and, most importantly, European animal welfare standards. The loden is woven, dyed and finished from 100% new wool in southern Germany. The wool is spun in our own weaving mill in Brandenburg. The Cloth Mill has been recognised for its sustainable production methods, which include a closed water cycle for the production and finishing of fabrics.
