How do I register at Greenpicks?

As a registered customer you have in your user account inter alia the possibility to track your placed orders, to create a personal wish list, to subscribe or unsubscribe for/from our newsletter, to create multiple shipping addresses, to initiate returns and much more. Alternatively, you can make purchases as a guest. But then you have to re-enter your complete data with every new order and cannot take advantage of a user account.

Why do I have to enter or confirm a confirmation code?

The confirmation code is an account security for validation of your identity. With a click on the link of the confirmation code you are registered! Furthermore is excluded by this means that a stranger abuses your email address.

I did not receive any confirmation code?

Please check your email box. Maybe the email with the confirmation code is in the spam folder. Or a typing error has slipped in when entering your email address. Then you would please to register again with the correct email address.

What does < My Account > means?

„My Account“ is your personal user account on Greenpicks. Only registered users can view their profile. As a registered customer with an account the following advantages are offered: read more »

Or maybe you want to make a gift to someone? – Then add a new address of the person that you want to make the gift under < My Account > Address Book. The seller will then make the shipment to this address. Otherwise the seller dispatches to the address that is stored under "My Account > Address Book", which is the billing address very often at the same time.

How do I register as a seller?

If you want to sell on Greenpicks – Eco & Upcycling Market, first you have to register. After registration we also require for your shop profile the following information from you: read more »
  • company name as applicable
  • as appropriate entry in the Commercial Register as applicable
  • Bank account data
  • Trading Licence: A copy of your trading licence. You can send it to us upon registration to support[@]greenpicks.de. This does not apply to members of the liberal professions.
  • The signed form for SEPA direct debit of fees. This you will get sent in our welcome email after the registration as a vendor. Please sign this form and send it to us in the original to our postal address.
  • Agreement: You will receive the agreement in our welcome email after the registration. Please sign this agreement and send it to us in the original to our postal address.
  • Answering our sustainability questionnaire. After registering, you will receive our sustainability questionnaire as a PDF form in our welcome email. You can easily fill it in at the computer and send it back to us via email at support@]greenpicks.de
After registration, you can under < My account > fill in the following data and edit your shop. For a proper operation of your shop some mandatory information is required, which are marked with an *.
  • Contact data
  • Information about small business regulation according to §19 included (Yes/No)
  • Tax number and/or VAT identification number
  • Imprint, Terms & Conditions, Cancellation policy with withdrawal form
  • Shipping information
  • Automated invoice forwarding to buyers (Yes/No)
  • PayPal address and bank account data for prepayment orders
  • Create, edit, manage products
Once we have received the agreement and the SEPA form in original, our Support will enable your shop so that it is displayed on the marketplace. Now, buyers and prospective customers may browse and purchase in your shop.

Do you have forgotten your password?

No problem – just follow the link “Forgot Your Password?" on the login page. We will then send you a confirmation code to the email address which you used for registration. With a click on the link of the confirmation code you reset your password.

My last name has changed after marriage / divorce. Where do I change my last name?

How do I delete my Greenpicks account as a buyer?

If you want to unsubscribe from Greenpicks please send us an email to support[@]greenpicks.de indicating your user name and email address you used for registration. We will then delete your account. Please note: Before your account can be deleted all purchases and sales must be completed.

How does Greenpicks provide for my safety?

Greenpicks is an online marketplace, where sellers and buyers deal with each other directly. To let your personal information to stay secure and confidential, we have SSL-encoded all pages which could contain sensitive data. By means of the rating system you can get an idea about the products and if the seller is trustworthy. Please rate the product or the seller after each purchase. Your comment increases the transparency on Greenpicks – Eco & Upcycling Market.

What can I do to increase my own security?

What is a Wish List?

To help you to find quickly what you like and you might want to buy at a later time or you would like to give to somebody, you can put your favourite products on your wish list. With just a click on the green heart right next to the < add to cart button >. If you are already logged in, this product is added directly to your wish list. Otherwise, you would please log in so that your choice directly can be added to your wish list.

What is a Compare List?

If you want to compare similar products before you opt for one or more, you can set each of these items on a compare list. Please just click on the icon with the two sheets right next to the shopping cart button. If you are already logged in, this product is listed directly into your compare list. Otherwise, you would please need to sign in so that your selection to your compare list can be associated with your user account.

Also as a guest you can use the compare list. However, this is only temporarily available.

How do I rate a product and/or a shop?

At Greenpicks you can rate products and shops, when you are loggied in. How it works you will find here.

Why do I receive notifications by email?

Greenpicks sends notifications via email to you, when you have purchased an item; when an item has been shipped; one or more sustainable article have been bought or you have received a new rating or message. Besides we also inform about new Green Lifestyle products in our newsletter, about creative designers and manufactures and much more. If you would like to unsubscribe from the newsletter, you can change your notification settings quickly and easily as described under “How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?“

How do I connect my facebook- or Google-Accout with Greenpicks?

1. If you are not yet registered, you will be asked by facebook or Google to enter the email address and password which you normally use for facebook or Google.
2. Afterwards you will be asked if you allow your basic member info which you provided to facebook or Google (e.g. name, email address) to be given to Greenpicks. (Greenpicks can only access this particular info – Greenpicks cannot access any other data which you have stored at facebook or Google, which would need to be released separately by you).
2.1 If your email address for your facebook or Google account is already attached to an existing Greenpicks account, you will be asked to confirm the connection by entering the password for your Greenpicks account.
2.2 If your email address for your facebook or Google account is not already attached to an existing Greenpicks account, you have two options to choose from:
2.2.1 Either: You register with Greenpicks and accept our Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy. In this way you can open – if you would like to – a Greenpicks account which is not attached to facebook or Google. Then you can log in with your email address and your password.
2.2.2 Or: You can connect an existing Greenpicks account with your facebook or Google account. You will also be asked to confirm the connection by entering the password for your Greenpicks account.

What information are exchanged between Greenpicks and facebook or Google?

Once only – and only with your agreement – Greenpicks receives from facebook or Google the basic information you provided, e.g. name and email address. In accordance with our Privacy Policy, Greenpicks will not pass on any of your personal data to facebook or Google.

Is it possible for my friends on facebook or Google to see, what I will buy, sell, list on the wish list or compare list or if I rate a product or a shop?

No, in accordance with our privacy policy, Greenpicks will never pass information regarding a member’s account without that member’s prior agreement. Your facebook or Google friends will only find out something about you do if you actively decide to tell them and to share it.

Will my Facebook profile picture be used for my Greenpicks account?

No.

What happens if I subsequently change my login info (name, email address, password) at Facebook? Will I still be able to login to Greenpicks, and if so, how?

Of course, you can still login to your Greenpicks account via the “Login with Facebook” or “Google-Login” button. Or you can use the email address which you formerly registered at Facebook or Google, and a password chosen by you (< My Account > Account Information & Password >).

What happens to my Greenpicks account if I cancel my facebook or Google account?

You can still use the email address which you formerly registered at facebook or Google, and a password chosen by you (< My Account > Account Information & Password >) to login to Greenpicks and to access your Greenpicks account. This requires that you continue to hold this email address.

Can I also link a facebook or Google fan page or business profile with a Greenpicks member account?

No, this is not possible – a connection between facebook or Google and Greenpicks is only possible with a personal account.

Can I link several Greenpicks accounts with my facebook or Google account?

No, you can link only one Greenpicks account with one facebook or Google account.

How do I cancel the connection with facebook, i.e. disconnect my Greenpicks account from my facebook or Google account?

You can cancel the connection between Greenpicks and facebook or Google at any time. Therefore please log in to your Greenpicks account. Under < My Account > Facebook-Connect or Google-Connect you can cut off the connection. In your facebook or Google account you delete the app „Greenpicks-Login“ under your private settings. With this you have totally disconnected both accounts. To reconnect your Greenpicks account and the facebook or Google account, you must go through the “Login with Facebook” or “Google-Login” process again from the beginning.

How can I change the Greenpicks account that is connected with my facebook or Google account?

You should first delete the connection between Facebook and your current Greenpicks account. Then it will be possible to connect your facebook or Google account with a different Greenpicks account – as long as your facebook or Google email address is not already attached to a pre-existing Greenpicks member account.

I don’t have a facebook or Google account. How do I set up a facebook or Google account?

Facebook: Please visit the facebook website on www.facebook.com. There you can set up a facebook account. You can get help and info on everything related to facebook by visiting http://www.facebook.com/help/ .
Google: Please visit the Google website on www.google.com. There you can set up a Google account. You can get help and info on everything related to Google by visiting https://support.google.com/ .

How do I share or like an item and/or a shop on social media like facebook, Google, Twitter, Pinterest and others?

At each product underneath the button "Add to cart" can be found the so-called social media icons such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, Pinterest. Clicking on the icon opens a window of the application. If you are not already logged in you will be asked your username and password. You can then share the post, the product, the shop. If you are already logged in in the corresponding application, a window opens with the product or shop information that you can now share and spread within the social media network you have chosen.
