Cosily equipped, the eco hot water bottle from nahtur-design spreads comforting warmth. The most environmentally friendly hot water bottle around has a loden cover! The cover is made of fleece loden and is irresistible to the cuddle and keeps the warmth of the hot water bottle. It is removable and washable (delicate cycle). We use loden made from pure new wool. The wool is obtained from European sheeps and woven into loden in southern Germany. Our hot water bottle covers are made in our manufacture in Germany. The cover has an embroidered blossom (part of our logo). An elastic band keeps the hot water bottle in the cover.
We obtain the hot water bottles from a German manufacturer who developed this ecological innovation: The hot water bottle itself is odourless, PVC-free, phthalates-free, softener-free. Fully recyclable and made in Germany with more than 90% renewable resources! It mainly consists of sugarcane and contain neither plasticisers (phthalates) nor PVC. Every Eco hot-water bottle has a safety fastener which means it won't leak. Two sizes as well as many colours of the cover are available! The filling quantity is:
The hot water bottle feels firm when cold, becomes soft when filled with hot water.
The smaller size is perfect for kids and adults, for on the go or also as an insert for a pillow. When a bit extra warmth is necessary to keep your little one comfy. The big one keeps the heat for a long time due to the large capacity. This hot-water bottle is great for pre-warming the bed.
Hint: Fill the hot water botle with hot water max. 60° C. WARNING - HOT WATER BOTTLES CAN CAUSE BURNS. AVOID PROLONGED DIRECT CONTACT WITH SKIN. If you do use a hot water bottle use it always with the loden cover at all times.
Made in our own manufacture from high quality virgin wool, the eco hot water bottle with a loden cover not only provides cosy warmth, but is also sustainably sourced: 100% new wool from Europe! The wool for our fluffy loden is sourced from sheep flocks in Europe. We have made a conscious decision to use wool from Europe in order to guarantee contact with our suppliers and, most importantly, European animal welfare standards. The loden is woven, dyed and finished from 100% new wool in southern Germany. The wool is spun in our own weaving mill in Brandenburg. To increase the surface area and achieve fluffiness, the finished loden is bulged and individual wool hairs are pulled to the surface. As this is a natural product, fluffiness may vary from product to product.
Features
How to wash wool?
"less is more...…" to help wool clothing last longer, only wash them when necessary.
The naturally contained wool grease (lanolin) ensures the self-regulating and antibacterial properties of wool fibres. Air out wool garment. Wash your wool clothing one final time at the end of the season or if it is very dirty. Hand wash with cool or cold water or wash on the wool, gentle, or delicate cycle with an enzyme-free liquid detergent like Sonett and a low spin speed (max. 400). If possible, use the washing machine setting for wool garments
How to dry your wool clothes and woollen textiles?
To avoid shrinking, don’t put wool clothing in the dryer. Instead, lay wool items flat to dry on a fresh towel or mesh rack in a spot that doesn’t receive direct sunlight. Carefully adjust the shape of the garment to ensure it is evenly stretched as it dries.
Ironing
Fleece loden and fine loden only with a damp cloth and iron from the left.
Detergent
We recommend using a special wool detergent that moisturises and cares for the wool. E.g. the olive detergent from Sonett.
In our manufactory, we produce handcrafted high-quality products. We focus on the materials organic linen and loden made from pure merino wool obtained from species-appropriate husbandry.
Our fabrics are woven in Germany and Austria, our design, cutting and production is in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany.
The fabrics are predominantly organically grown or mulesing-free, very skin-friendly and breathable. Timeless fashion and high-quality materials are an expression of individuality and make our garments durable and sustainable.
Linen has always provided a very pleasant climate, it has the ability to cool in summer and warm in winter, the lively fabric surface provides a pleasant massage of the skin. Home textiles are particularly absorbent and dry very quickly.
The loden is water-repellent, breathable and warming. The napped surface makes water drip off and keeps the wind out. Excess heat is well conducted to the outside.
Our materials are low-noise and particularly well tolerated.

Sustainability
This product meets the following sustainability criteria
We calculate our prices fairly and transparently in all directions. Our suppliers are paid just as fairly as our local employees. We do not calculate later reductions or transport costs. Due to the order-specific production, there are no storage costs and no disposal costs for overproduction. Costs for shipping and any returns are borne by the customer and are not added to the product price.
We produce our products in our manufactory and manufacture everything under one roof, from design to cutting to production. In this way we avoid transport routes. Our products are only produced after receipt of order or in very small quantities. In this way we avoid overproduction and conserve valuable raw materials. Zero Waste: We produce without leaving any residue. Fabric remnants that occur when the products are cut are collected and processed into our "zero-waste collection" in cooperation with a social institution (Brücke S-H) in Kiel. The smallest remnants are processed in a paper mill from the 18th century sheet by sheet to 100% linen handmade paper. Hot-water bottle made from renewable raw materials.
From idea to design, cutting, production and shipping, we do it all under one roof. This means there are no transport routes and we save valuable resources. The wool for our fluffy loden comes from sheep flocks in Europe. We have made a conscious decision to use wool from Europe in order to guarantee contact with our suppliers and, most importantly, European animal welfare standards. The loden is woven, dyed and finished from 100% new wool in southern Germany. The wool is spun in our own weaving mill in Brandenburg. The Cloth Mill has been recognised for its sustainable production methods, which include a closed water cycle for the production and finishing of fabrics.
